114. Glorious Mistakes with Carrie Butler
Join for this special episode talking with Carrie Butler who lost everything but in that, found her power and joy of life that she has kept ever since.
Carrie is the mother of four children, two son-in-laws and three granddaughters. She works as a licensed Realtor and the Assistant CEO of KW South Valley (Keller Williams). Carrie tends to immediately love people, knowing that like her own life, each has a story. Carrie’s story is one of great loss, but also one of strength, determination and power.
In November of 2018, Carrie nearly lost her life as the result of an eight year addiction to prescription painkillers. Following a week in the hospital, she promised her family she would check herself into an in-patient facility. For 51 days she was isolated from her children and family; she worked like she had never before, all day every day, sorting through emotional scars, trauma and much-needed healing. She was surrounded by angels, both seen and unseen, including a group of highly skilled physicians, therapists, and new friends fighting similar battles. Despite the lack of real support from family, with courage she became sober and survived.
Carrie is not alone in this journey of being “human” and overcoming challenges. Together, we are what makes up mankind, all here to help others in their personal journeys. Perhaps yourself or a loved one can gain hope and healing from her experiences. In that she finds further healing. She firmly believes our mission in life is to help one-another, through this our weaknesses become our strengths.
